Gozo and Comino Thursday, April 9, 2009

Gozo. Mgarr Harbour is small, everything is much calmer and quieter than Malta. Monday is spent exploring the Citadel in Victoria. Visiting the prison with bookmarks inscribed in the walls - hand, ships, Maltese cross or just stroke. We also have time to visit the Archaeological Museum with the small figures that were found during excavations of the Hypogeum and Ggantija Temples that are older than the Egyptian pyramids. Of course, we were in the Cathedral and its museum as well. Comino, which takes its name of cumin, which grows wild here. Blue Lagoon - It is really blue, or more accurately turquoise. Mostly fine, but unfortunately no fish life. Water temperature was only 16 degrees so it was enough to dip your feet, Thomas tried the new wetsuit. Sailing home was the best in many years-as a perfect summer sailing in the Stockholm Archipelago.
