Pula Friday, August 28, 2009

Visited the bays Luka Paltana, Cintinera and Uvala Soline before we went on into Pula. Thunderstorm had settled in the distance, what lightning, the wind as it warned of was does not come, but we were prepared. The technician in the family have now fixed hair clipper so now he is short-haired in the literal sense. Pula is famous for its Roman remains and for the most impressive is the amphitheater, the sixth largest in the world and perhaps the best preserved. It was the Emperor Claudius (ad41-56) who started work were ready to 80ad. Magnificent building with a little imagination you can see gladiatorial games. Triumphal Arches built f.kr among others Sergie and Hercules, Roman Theatre and the Temple which is dedicated Emperor Augustus and the Roman goddess. It's a bit what we have seen, but we have had time for a little cafe life also.
