Siracusa Wednesday, April 29, 2009

We, the Apostrophe and Solan left a sunny Malta. Our first leg to Porto Palo went like clockwork. Begins with 7 m / s and ends with 1 m / s, so it was both motoring and sailing. Met turtles, dolphins and playful sword fish along the road. After a night of disco thump and kareoke so went sailing on towards Siracusa, here we are now at anchor with a number of sailboats by different nationalities. The weather is variable but an everlasting blow up at 15m / s, but we feel safe with our new Delta anchor. Siracusa has been charm, especially the old part Ortygia there. St. Lucia's church. Been to the particular Church of Madonna delle Lacrimas, was due to a miracle in 1953, the church was completed in 1969 and looks like an eye drop. Very good ice cream there, and not least a delightful fruit, vegetable and fish market, good prices. Strawberries - yummy with cream
